NUTS & BOLTS (UNITY)

THE UNIVERSITY OF ST. ANDREWS

In my 3rd year of university I participated in a semester long group project to create a game for a client. We were tasked with creating an app that would capable of measuring the "handedness" of its participants. I served as a game programmer and tools programmer for the team, focusing mainly on the research elements of the app and the foundation work. The game consists of 3 research mini-games, where a handedness score is calculated and stored. And 4 fun mini-games where high scores are tracked and linked to the account.

ROLE

Programmer

I worked on many different things throughout the project, with a main focus working on the research side of the app. This entailed creating systems to track and calculate the user's handedness score. I designed two of the app's mini-games, and programmed one. I worked closely with the artists to implement the app's UI, including the dynamic speech bubbles for the game's mascot. For the non-research mini-games I developed an account creation system so the player can create an account and track their progress.
